So these past few weeks have been exhausting for me, both mentally and physically. My workload has increased significantly and I've been fighting a cold for almost two weeks. Needless to say, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have been wondering lately, how do I balance things out as I work full-time and am a mommy/wife full-time? How do I not let the stress of my work affect me or my family when I come home at night? How do I get the things I need to do at home when I feel like I am always at work? Don't get me wrong, I love working and have a great job but sometimes I feel as though my girls are growing up and I am hardly there to see any of it. I just needed to let some things off of my mind as my week comes to an end and as I prepare to get a couple days off to spend quality time with my husband and my kids. I'm sure once I am not so overwhelmed at work that things will return to normal but in the meantime, I could use any advice that anyone may have.
Enjoy your weekend and give extra hugs and kisses to the ones you love!

I completely feel where you are coming from...as a mom you can feel pulled in a zillion different directions, you want to fulfill each duty with 100% effort but you feel as though it is not able to happen...I feel this way often, there is so much to do so little time and my baby (soon to be babies) is only small once. so sometimes I just don't do the dishes (unfortunately they will still be there tomorrow) or the laundry or whatever it maybe so that I can just enjoy my life with my family, I don't want to wake up one day saying 'jeeez what happened, where did the time go...'
So take a step back know that you are GREAT in each and every one of your roles, and don't stress life happens with or without it :)Enjoy your family this weekend!!
not sure if meal time is a stressor, but I have taken to making a double meal of whatever we are having and freezing the meal to use the next week. And you have to use it the next week or you'll never eat it! I get sick of leftovers and this seems to help when it's spread out more.
and skip the lottery - we haven't won yet ;~) You are doing great so keep up the good work!
